Welcome
This project uses a special kind of engineering design process called human-centered design to create better solutions to problems. In our case, we are exploring the group of high end real estate agents to find ways to help them in the challenging market of Florida.

What is Human centered design?
Human centered design approaches an engineering task/problem very differently. Instead of identifying the problem and creating a solution to that problem through ideation alone, the emphasis is on the understanding of the problem itself by understanding the complex systems behind by it. The most complex system, being the human experience. Human centered design says that by understanding people that are affected and that affect the design at hand, we can grasp how to truly solve the problem effectively.

Important terms to know:
People group:
• Individuals with similar passions
• Groups who work towards a similar cause
• Individuals in professions where they are fueled by a passion and/or purpose
• Those strongly engaged in current events as it pertains to the project
How might we statements:
• “We use the How Might We format because it suggests that a solution is possible and because they offer you the chance to answer them in a variety of ways. A properly framed How Might We doesn’t suggest a particular solution but gives you the perfect frame for innovative thinking.” – Ideo.Org
Our model
The model we are using (figure 1), represents an approach on the human centered design technique we will be using throughout the entire project. It is centered around 8 essential questions to create an effective design with four categories encapsulating those questions. The categories are the following:
-
Data- This first step includes gathering quantitative date for the design problem. Normally, this would include interviews from customers clients or our stakeholders.
-
Insights- The second step involves analyzing the data and trying to understand the data in an in-depth manner.
-
Opportunities- The third step is to find opportunities within the insights and data.
-
Solutions- The last step involves taking those opportunities and coming up with a human centered design solution that reflects all of our previous work.

Model applications
Shelter is a need that each person will eventually try to acquire. This necessity has created a massive market worth billions of dollars that spans the globe. So many people working together to gain shelter or sell shelter to another was inevitably going to get complicated and require experts, real-estate agents. Our duty is to increase the satisfaction of the parties involved. By following the steps of our general model, we will conduct interviews, research studies, and corroborate with professionals to establish models and evidence to back up our solution. The goals is to help people buy, sell, and work with real-estate to positively affect real-estate agents.
